The active substance trinexapac-ethyl, the basis of the MODDUS formulation, penetrates the plants via the foliar route. It reduces the production of natural growth substances, which limits the lengthening of the internodes and promotes root development.
This results in a reduction in the height of the plant, an increase in the stiffness of the stems and a better rooting. This allows a better resistance to lodging by avoiding the breakage of the spike and a better filling of the grains.
